We are seeking a practicioner who believes that immersion in the natural world is beneficial to the social and emotional development of children as well as supporting their formal learning journey. Nant-y-Cwm is recruiting for a committed and experiencd individual to work as an outdoor education and craft teacher. The role will invovle working with our youngest class group (age 6-8) in the Main School. You will have experience of running or facilitating outdoor education, gardening/permaculture or forest school and bring passion and enthusiasm for learning in and from the natural environment. You will be committed to delivering craft based sessions that compliment and enrich the outdoor curriculum.
Our setting is nestled within extensive grounds as well as having access to the neighbouring woodland and the children regularly explore the outdoors in our grounds, local woodland and footpaths. We support staff to undertake professional development through mentoring, supervision and external qualifications and courses.
Start date: January 2025
Contract: Fixed Term until the end of the academic year with opportunity to become permanent in September 2025
